When you master this, you may want to bulk up your recipe a bit. You can add our recommended ingredients, or, of course, add your own! If you discover something (anything!) that we haven't mentioned, leave us a comment and our team will get back to you. Did you choose the tiny pillowy cloud cakes - I mean - cookies... or the kaka mousse?

Let's get right to it...

Ingredients

  • 2 Medium Bananas or 1 Large Avocado

  • 1/4 Cup of Cacao powder or cocoa powder

  • 1/4 Cup of Nut butter

Optional

  • Honey

  • Nuts (walnut pieces recommended)

  • Cinnamon

  • Coconut oil

  • A pinch of sea salt

  • A splash of nut milk

Step 1

(If you prefer cookie-style, preheat oven now for 350F/175C)

Mush the banana or avocado (either in the peel and scrape out, in a bowl with a fork, or a blender/food processor), then mix with equal amount of nut butter.

Step 2

Add cacao powder and whip together. There is your base! Enjoy this chocolatey wonder!

Upgrades

If you used an avocado rather than banana, then you may want some more sweetness. Add a spoonful of honey to achieve this.

For some crunch, add some walnut pieces or whichever nuts you enjoy.

A tsp cinnamon for more flavor depth.

A Tbsp of Coconut oil for a boosted health benefit and light flavor change.

A pinch of sea salt will enhance all the ingredients.

A small splash of nut milk will lighten the chocolate flavor and help to meld everything together.

Cookies

Place large mounds on a greased or prepared pan, the cookies will not expand very much.

Bake for 10 minutes (for chewy) or 15-20 minutes (for harder).

Let cookies sit and cool about 10 minutes for a solid cookie experience.
